FOSAC originally began as "Friends of South African Comedy," fueled by a passion for showcasing local talent and promoting the vibrant comedy scene in South Africa. Through dedication and hard work, we recognized the need to expand our vision beyond just comedy. Today, FOSAC has grown into a multi-faceted organization, embracing a diverse array of artistic expressions and talents. We now proudly operate several divisions, each aimed at celebrating and supporting the rich tapestry of South African entertainment..
Our mission is to support local talent by offering platforms for growth and development. We are dedicated to youth development and aim to inspire young artists to pursue their dreams, nurturing the next generation of creative talent.
Fosac Castings is a proud member of OSCASA (South African Casting Association) and a strong supporter of SAGA (South African Guild of Actors) and SABAG (South African Background Actors Guild). We are firm believers in the continuous improvement of the industry and are deeply committed to advancing the rights of performers, especially background actors.
Our goal is to ensure that all actors, regardless of their role, are treated with the respect and fairness they deserve. To achieve this, we work within a strict code of conduct that holds our team and members accountable.
