Membership at FOSAC is open to all individuals who agree to uphold the agency's Code of Conduct, which has been endorsed by SABAG (South African Background Actors Guild).

The agency expects its members to adhere to high standards of professionalism and respect within the industry.

Additionally, the agency encourages its members to join SABAG to further strengthen their rights and representation as background actors.

FOSAC agrees to represent and protect the rights of members, ensuring they are treated fairly and are not exploited in their roles. This focus on ethical practices reinforces the agency's commitment to the well-being and career growth of its talent.

  • Professionalism - Conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner on set.
  • Punctuality - Arrive on time and be prepared for filming.
  • Respect for others - Treat fellow actors, crew members, and production staff with respect and courtesy.
  • Follow direction - Listen to and follow instructions from the production team.
  • Confidentiality - Maintain confidentiality about the production, including scripts, plotlines, and other sensitive information.
  • Safety - Prioritize safety on set and report any hazards or concerns.
  • Respect for property - Handle props, costumes, and equipment with care.
  • No social media sharing - Refrain from sharing photos, videos, or updates about the production on social media.
  • No harassment or discrimination - Treat others with respect and dignity, and report any incidents of harassment or discrimination.
  • Adhere to rules - Follow production rules and guidelines, including those related to food, drink, and smoking on set.
  • Be prepared - Come prepared with necessary items, such as wardrobe, makeup, and any required documents.
  • Communication - Communicate any Issues, concerns, or questions to your agent.
  • Maintain Cleanliness - Respect your facilities Be aware of your surroundings and strive to keep your area clean and organised.
  • Racism - Zero Tolerance of racist language and or behaviour will be accepted.
  • Fraternising - It is essential to maintain a professional atmosphere on set at all times. This is a professional workplace and must be treated with the same respect and as any other workplace
  • Personal Hygiene - Practicing good personal hygiene demonstrates respect for colleagues and contributes to a shared healthy and pleasant workspace.
