The great part about being an actor, extra, model is that you have the choice whether you want to accept a role or not. BUT in this industry its important that if you accept you need to be available on the days you said you would and you need to be on time.
Whether you are doing this as a serious career or if its a hobby, extra cash, bucket list....once you commit to a production, take it seriously.
WE HAVE HEARD IT ALL BEFORE
While we understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances do happen, we also know that 98% of the time, its just an excuse.
Example: One day while working on a big international production, 26 extras didnt make it to set. Traffic, my car broke down and mostly "I had a family emergency" unless they were all related I doubt that there were that many family emergencies.
TRAFFIC: You know your call time, if you need to be there by 8am of course there will be traffic so plan better. Leave home earlier.
LOST: In these times you are lost? Really. With smart phones you still get lost? We usually send a pin drop to you. But still, once you receive the location from us, check the location. See how long it will take you to get there, make sure you know exactly where you are going, if you are unsure, contact us, we are always available.
NO CERTIFIED COPY OF ID: Then you shouldnt have accepted, we always ask before we book you.

MY PHONE WAS STOLEN/LOST: You do not need your phone to get to set.
I am pretty sure this list can go on for a long time but the point is ...If there is a will, there is a way .... don't make excuses.
If at any time, a legit reason for not being able to make it comes up, please contact us immediately so if we can we will help you or we can replace you. This is very important for production so please rather let us know then ghosting us. We are understanding.
