Our Journey
FOSAC Castings began as an extension of a deep involvement in South Africa’s creative and entertainment industry, originally rooted in the management and support of local comedy talent. What started as a passion for showcasing performers grew into a broader commitment to creating professional, respectful opportunities across film, television and commercial productions.
As our work expanded, so did our understanding of the challenges faced by both productions and performers — particularly background actors navigating an often inconsistent and unclear system. This led to the natural evolution of FOSAC into a casting agency focused not only on placing talent, but on improving communication, standards and on-set experiences for everyone involved.
We strongly believe that a healthier industry depends on informed, supported and continuously developing talent. This belief has shaped our approach to casting and has also driven the development of an upcoming educational and industry-focused platform designed to benefit both performers and production teams through guidance, resources and shared industry insight.
